About
My artistic practice is concerned with the physical and spatial relationships of colour and glaze, which are painted and printed onto the surface of thin sheets of porcelain paper-clay.
These abstract, yet geometrically arranged patterns lend themselves to creating optical illusions of depth and movement on both two and three-dimensional surfaces.
My work is an ongoing investigation and exploration of the spatial relationships created by contrast of brightness, transparency, translucency and reflection.
The viewer is encouraged to experience both the real and imagined space of the perpetually fluctuating surface, through physical interaction and engagement with the artworks.
